Jigme Tenzin

b.1989, Lhasa,Tibet

Tenzin Jigme experiments with diverse mediums such as painting, graphic arts, photography and mixed media to create new forms of storytelling. At the age of five, he went to India through Nepal to complete his schooling. After graduating high school from the Tibetan Children Village School, he followed his passion and joined the College of Art in University of Delhi to complete a BFA specializing in Print Making. With special emphasis on forms of painting, he completed his MFA from Banaras Hindu University. India’s spiritual hub of Varanasi is a huge influence on his early works. He is currently a fellow at the Dialogue Art Center in Dharamshala.
